Early Childhood Education

Program and Department Overview

The Early Childhood Program’s mission is to provide Cicero District 99 students with the foundational skills to become lifelong learners through discovery, exploration and enthusiastic, hands-on learning. Students are the focal point of all endeavors emphasizing academic, emotional, physical and social development in a school climate where all feel supported, respected and safe.

The department strives to nurture the whole child to reach their fullest potential in a partnership with District staff, parents and community members. Students will be encouraged to think and reason logically, critically and creatively in an environment that celebrates and respects academic and cultural diversity. Together, the team will facilitate each student to become contributing members to our school, community and eventually, our global society.

The EC Program can be found in several District 99 schools.
