Art Remote Learning
Jacqueline Pisano

This year, Art teachers at Burnham and across Cicero have been focusing on drawing techniques due to available materials at students' homes. This has led to more lessons on drawing techniques and digital art than ever before. Before this year, I didn't know what digital art students as young as first grade were capable of making.

Also, students have enjoyed choice boards and opportunities to find new materials around their homes. I have given students the choice to make their own salt dough and paper mache. I even enjoyed the time to step away from my computer and get my hands messy. Materials as simple as construction paper, scissors, and glue has got many students to be very engaged and creative.
