Cicero East School History

Cicero East School was built in the year 1913 by architect GW Ashby. Ashby designed a number of schools throughout Cicero, Berwyn and Stickney.

It was originally named Cicero School, before the construction of Cicero West School.

Cicero East currently serves grades 4-6 and has an approximate student population of 900 students.

Our school mascot is 'Thunder' the Wolf. At Cicero East school, our students are WOLF TOUGH. This means:

  • We have GRIT and are unafraid of a challenge.
  • We PERSEVERE through tough problems.
  • We are RESILIENT and learn from our mistakes.
  • We are PASSIONATE and take care of our Wolf Pack.

The mission of Cicero East School is to provide a positive learning environment in which our staff, parents, students and community promote academic excellence and personal well-being.

Vision: Cicero East collaborates to inspire every student to become a self-motivated lifelong learner, who maximizes his or her abilities to be a productive citizen in society. Cicero East School is invested in the future.
