Students in Mr. Evashenk's physical-education class enjoyed themselves while playing "Protect the Castle." This is an all-time favorite game where students have to work together to build castles with hula hoops and then attempt to knock down the other team's castles by throwing cannonballs.
Teams have to strategize on which team members will be the protectors of the castle and which team members will go on the offensive. What made this lesson even more fun was listening to holiday music while playing, which helped spread holiday cheer throughout the gymnasium. Students were able to elevate their heart rates, practice throwing and catching, and use teamwork by planning offensive and defensive strategies.
