Second graders in Ms. Goldberg's class were very busy this fall learning all about animals and their habitats.
They took a special field trip to the Shedd Aquarium where they saw dolphins, beluga whales, a sea lion and other aquatic animals perform in an impressive show. They also learned ways to help protect ocean animals, like using less plastic and not littering.
To wrap up the animal unit, the class each picked an endangered animal to research and present about. Students created shoe box habitats, posters and letters to their endangered animals. Parents and other classes in the school were invited in to see all of their hard work and learn ways to help save these animals from extinction.
