UPDATE AS OF 4/01/20 at 6 P.M.
Governor Pritzker extended Illinois stay-at-home order until April 30. The original order was set to expire April 7. Cicero District 99 is urging families to stay home as cases are projected to increase in the coming weeks.
This would mark our return date to schools for in-person instruction as
FRIDAY, MAY 1
The governor has also issued an Executive Order that
State-mandated standardized testing will be suspended.
School days will NOT be made up.
Remote/eLearning will start Monday, April 6.

The results will be used so the District can modify its eLearning plan, plan professional development and train instructional and communication platforms.
Superintendent Hernandez would like to remind the community on the importance of having children connect to their classes and complete their assignments. The district is making every effort to make sure students continue to receive quality instruction and this can not be possible if they do not connect with their teachers. Parents are encouraged to make sure their children are continuing to use the reading and math tools available online.
Please help us keep everyone safe by staying home, and making sure to follow the COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

Hey parents!
Do your kids miss their teachers and school? Are they wondering what their classmates and other students across Cicero are up to?
With our schools closed and students and teachers working on eLearning at home, Cicero District 99 wants to help keep the community updated on what everyone is up to!
It's simple: first, text

Then, send along a photo of your child with their first name and last name initial, they school they attend, the grade their child is in, the name of their teacher, and the project they're working on!
District 99's Communications team will review all entries and choose the strongest ones to share on the District's website, Facebook and Twitter.
Whether chatting virtually with their teachers, working on a fun STEAM project, or practicing math and reading, we want to see how your children are continuing to ignite the road to excellence and keeping their brains busy while working from home!
We can't wait to show the community that together, in the face of adversity, the District 99 community continues to demonstrate innovation in education for children across Cicero!
Our teachers and staff will also be in on the fun!

Despite school closures and interruptions to everyday life, District 99 remains committed to the health and well-being of its students and families. The District will continue working in partnership with the Town of Cicero and Cicero first responders to ensure a community-wide effort to support the families of Cicero.
