Students in Mrs. Berardi's sixth grade math class applied their knowledge of volume and surface area to create model skyscrapers. Students used different types of boxes to create their models. They either worked individually or with a partner to get the measurements for their 3-D model and find the volume, area, and surface area. Students then converted their model size to what their skyscraper would look like if it were a full scale model. They also created a blueprint as well as a digital model of their 3-D model.
