Fine Arts

At Cicero District 99, we believe every child is an artist in the making—and our Fine Arts programs are here to help them shine! Starting in elementary school, students get to explore music, visual arts, dance, and even drama. They’ll have the chance to sing, play instruments, create beautiful artwork, perform on stage, and express themselves in fun, creative ways. As they move into junior high, these opportunities grow with band, choir, theater, art classes, and clubs that let them take their talents to the next level. Whether your child is just discovering a love for the arts or already has a passion they’re ready to pursue, we’ve got a place for them. Our amazing teachers are dedicated to making sure every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired. And with performances, concerts, and art shows throughout the year, families and the community get to celebrate their hard work and creativity too!

Music & Choir

Music is an important part of every child’s experience in Cicero District 99! All students receive a quarter of music instruction each year, where they learn to sing, play instruments, read music, and explore rhythm, movement, and musical expression. These classes are designed to build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. In addition to regular music classes, many of our schools offer before- or after-school choir clubs where students can take their love of singing even further. Choir clubs give students the chance to perform in concerts, build teamwork, and have fun making music with friends. Not all schools offer a choir club, so be sure to ask your child’s music teacher if one is available. Whether in class or in a club, music helps students grow in exciting ways—and we’re proud to help them find their voice!
