Our mission is to be a transformative, statewide leader in providing innovative, 21st century learning opportunities to empower the young people of our diverse, bilingual community. To arm our students — the majority whom are low income — with skills, tools, knowledge and mindsets to effectively prepare them for global opportunities of the future in education and the ever-changing workforce.

Dr. Aldo Calderin brings over 20 years of educational leadership and a commitment to student success, guiding Cicero District 99 toward excellence and innovation.
Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,
It is an honor to serve as Superintendent of Cicero District 99, where our commitment to student success, innovation, and community collaboration drives everything we do. As I step into this leadership role, I bring with me over 20 years of experience in education — beginning as a bilingual math and science teacher and advancing through various leadership positions that have shaped my vision for student achievement and district excellence.
At District 99, we recognize that education extends beyond the classroom. We strive to create an environment where every student feels supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated educators and staff work tirelessly to provide engaging learning opportunities, ensuring that each student is equipped with the skills they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
As we look ahead, I am excited to collaborate with students, families, staff, and the broader Cicero community to develop a strategic plan focused on improving student outcomes. Together, we will continue to foster an inclusive, high-achieving learning environment that prioritizes both academic success and well-being.
