Step aside, myth and legend — Goodwin Elementary's 2nd graders just made history come alive! 

In Ms. Bauman's class, students have been diving into the wonders of Ancient Greece, discovering how the humble olive tree became a timeless symbol of peace, prosperity, and life itself. 

To bring their learning to life, the class got hands-on — literally! They tasted olives, explored their rich flavor and cultural importance, and then created their very own olive tree of peace. Each student designed a unique branch, symbolizing and "olive branch" extended to the world around them. 

The result? A classroom filled with creativity, history, and heart — a living reminder that even the smallest hands can build a legacy of peace.
