In most places, Halloween is about candy, costumes, and spooky fun. But in our town, it's also about honoring the people who built this community with their hands, their hearts, and their stories.

Yesterday, our Cicero District 99 students and staff served breakfast, danced, laughed, and played bingo with our beloved senior citizens — all in full Halloween spirit.

Because here in Cicero, we respect our seniors, we celebrate them, we listen to them, we learn from them, and we show them  — in every smile, every plate served, every hug — that they are valued, treasured, and never forgotten. There is no place that honors its seniors the way Cicero does. None. And yesterday morning, in a room filled with costumes, cheers, and pure joy, you could feel why it matters. 

Our seniors gave decades to this community and our young people gave back. Different generations, same love. This is what community looks like. This is Cicero!
