🔬 CELEBRATING NATIONAL STEAM DAY! ⚙️
Every November 8th, we recognize the creativity, curiosity, and innovation that happens every single day in Cicero District 99 classrooms!
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math — but in D99, it stands for So Much More. It's where students design bridges, code robots, build models, create digital art, explore the solar system, and solve real-world problems — all while learning to think critically and creatively.
Digital Literacy means our students don't just use technology — they understand it. They learn to research responsibly, collaborate safely, and create meaningful digital projects that prepare them for the world ahead.
Project-Based Learning (PBL) turns every classroom into a launch pad for discovery. Students ask big questions, investigate, and present real solutions — learning that's hands-on, minds-on, and full of purpose!
Help us celebrate and thank our incredible STEAM, Digital Literacy, and PBL teachers who make learning exciting, challenging, and unforgettable. Because of you, our students are not just learning about the world — they're learning to change it.
🌎 Special thanks to Discovery Education for sending an amazing STEAM kit over to Cicero East Elementary School — helping our students bring science, technology, and creativity to life in the classroom!
