Below is a copy of the construction notice letter from the District which is being shared with residents who live within a two-block radius of the former Daniel Burnham Elementary School site:

Dear Neighbors,

Cicero District 99 is pleased to inform you that construction of a new Early Childhood Center will soon begin at a property in your neighborhood. This new facility represents an important investment in early learning and continued educational growth in Cicero.

Site mobilization is anticipated to begin in mid to late March. During construction, you may notice equipment on site, material deliveries and contractor activity during normal weekday working hours.

The District and its construction team are committed to being respectful neighbors throughout this process. We will work to manage construction traffic responsibly, maintain safe and organized site conditions, and minimize disruption as much as reasonably possible. The site will be secured, and public streets and alleys will remain accessible. However, if a temporary alley closure is necessary for the safety and security of the community, you will be notified at least 48 hours in advance.

We appreciate your patience during construction and look forward to bringing this valuable educational resource to the community.
