WILSON RIDES THE RESILIENCY WAVE 👏
Never give up. Encourage others. Do your best.
While the above statements are sentiments echoed in classrooms across Cicero District 99 each day, students at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School had the unique opportunity last week to attend a special assembly presented by the team at NED's Resiliency Ride, an international education program which uses multi-sensory learning models to motivate, encourage and inspire students to become champions both in school and in life.
Featuring cartoon character NED and an educational leader, the character education program centers on a 45-minute assembly, or "The NED Show," teaching the many ways in which character counts through humor, storytelling, audience participation and magic tricks!
Since the program's inception in 1989, NED's Resiliency Ride has visited over 25 million students across the U.S. and in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the U.K.
With the tagline of "There's a champion in every kid," last week's show demonstrated to students (and staff) that through positively changing one's outlook on school and in life, the impact on making a happier life is only one good attitude away!
