🎺 POSITIVE CHOICES, POWERFUL PERFORMANCES: ROOSEVELT CELEBRATES STUDENT SUCCESS WITH MARIACHI AND DANCE PERFORMANCES 🔥

Posted Date: 05/05/26 (03:00 PM)

Roosevelt Elementary School marked a major milestone this week with a schoolwide assembly celebrating students meeting their positive behavior goals.

The event featured two standout performances that brought both energy and cultural connection to the celebration. The Morton East High School Mariachi Band performed in honor of Cinco de Mayo, filling the room with lively music that students and staff responded to with enthusiasm.

Roosevelt’s own hip hop dance team also took the stage, delivering a well-rehearsed and high-energy routine. Their performance was set to a popular Spanish Mother’s Day song, offering a thoughtful nod to the upcoming holiday while showcasing the talent within the school.

The assembly served as both a reward for students’ hard work and a reminder of what can be achieved through consistent effort and positive choices. Staff noted that the celebration highlighted not only student success, but also the strong sense of community within the school.

It was a memorable way for Roosevelt Elementary to recognize achievement—and to celebrate it together.
